This course is designed to provide the candidate with the knowledge, skills and appropriate attitudes for him/her to have confidence in carrying out the full service and maintenance of specified Sabre BA.
Outline Course topics and activities include: • Introduction • Importance of mask fit testing • Pre-use inspection & donning • Harness maintenance • Face mask maintenance • Pneumatics maintenance • Cleaning and storage • Fault finding • Importance of maintaining records & regulations covering them (CoSHH and PPE directive) • Practical assessments Competence Assessment • On completion of this course, candidates will be able to: Know the different types of BA and where to use them • Perform monthly checks, annual servicing, maintain and repair the Sabre BA Assessment for this course will consist of observation reports being completed by the instructor and a written knowledge assessment completed and passed by the candidate. The successful candidates will be issued with a competence certificate after the course and it is the responsibility of the candidates employing company to ensure competence is maintained throughout the validity period of the certificate. Delivery Delivery consists of classroom theory and practical exercises. This platform allows for total integration of the candidates competence, knowledge, and thinking skills, and enforces the correct procedures. Trainers Instructors hold an A1 Workplace Assessors Qualification and all have extensive experience in using and maintaining BA, this in addition to many years of training experience. |
